Penny Blackwell is former HS Indoor National Long Jump Champion with a high school PR of
19'11 3/4". She graduated from University of North Carolina where she was a
Four Time All-American and NCAA Finalist in both the LJ and TJ. She was a 2000
Olympic Trials Finalist in the Triple Jump. She has PR's of 21'4 3/4" in the LJ
and 44'9 1/2" in the TJ. Penny is currently training for the 2004 Olympics
while operating a nonprofit venture that motivates and mentors youth age 12-18
through positive self-esteem boosting programs and health awareness.
Penny has over seven years of coaching experience working with youth of various
ages and skill ranges. She is one of the great young teachers of both speed
dynamics and horizontal jumps.
Penny is a successful International Model with worldwide campaigns for Reebok,
Nike, Fila, Oil of Olay, Gatorade and many others. Penny's first love though is
working with youth through teaching and coaching and explains
it best with the following;
